Basma Ali, a distinguished figure in the tech industry, brings over 11 years of progressive experience in Information Technology and Project Management to her role at GGateway, which she co-founded in 2013. Her expertise extends both locally and internationally, underscoring her broad impact in the field.

Basma’s accomplishments have been recognized by prominent publications; she was named a Next Generation Leader by Time Magazine in October 2018 and featured in GQ Middle East. Further, she was honored as the SDG & Her Winner for 2020 on behalf of the MENA Region.

Educationally, Basma holds an honors degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Montana State University, USA, earned in 2008. She also completed the prestigious Entrepreneurial Leadership Program in 2011, an MBA-equivalent leadership program from Portland State University designed for distinguished global leaders. At GGateway, Basma’s visionary leadership and extensive experience drive the company’s mission towards continued growth and success in the tech industry.

Anwar Awad, a prominent figure in the tech industry, serves as the Chairman at GGateway. With a career spanning over three decades, Anwar has made impactful contributions in strategic leadership roles within the technology sector.

Before joining GGateway, Anwar held significant positions at Toshiba America, Synopsys, and Intel Corporation. His tenure at Intel as GM and VP of the Design Engineering Group was marked by strategic transformations in design and methodology. At Synopsys, he led the successful development of mixed signal IP product lines and initiated pioneering global engineering initiatives.

Anwar earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan. His areas of expertise include Mixed Signal, Semiconductors, Information Security Management, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Verilog.

In his role as Chairman of GGateway, Anwar brings his strategic acumen and collaborative leadership style, significantly influencing the organization’s strategic direction and driving its mission towards continued success in the tech industry.

Joseph Hazboun is a strategic and creative business leader who brings over 20 years of technology sector experience to his role at GGateway. His career spans the US, Canada, and international markets, with a strong track record in managing large R&D, Telecom, and IT services outsourcing engagements. His prior experience comes from Tech Mahindra USA, Spirent Communications, and Nokia (Alcatel-Lucent).

His responsibilities encompass sales leadership, coaching, operational management, practice building, business development, and account management. This broad scope of roles allows Joseph to apply his multidimensional expertise to drive the organization forward.

Joseph earned his Masters of Science degree from Columbia University in New York. With his extensive experience and leadership skills, he plays a pivotal role in shaping GGateway’s strategic direction and in fostering its continued growth and success in the tech industry.

Mohammed Firwana, serving as the Chief People Officer at GGateway, leads the Partnerships and Impact department with strategic foresight and a dedication to impactful collaboration. A computer engineer by training, Mohammed graduated from the Islamic University in Gaza in 2013 and later obtained a Master’s degree in Management from Durham University Business School in the UK.

Boasting 10 years of diverse experience in the Gazan ICT sector, Mohammed’s career has seen him take on various roles and work on several projects for GGateway, contributing significantly to its growth and success.

Beyond his work at GGateway, Mohammed is a dynamic force within the local Gazan ICT community. He serves as an Advisor for the Google Developers Group (Gaza Chapter) and has overseen the implementation of over 100 technological events and informative workshops over the past eight years. With a keen interest in technology management, talent development, and driving business growth through innovative IT solutions, Mohammed’s leadership continues to shape GGateway’s strategic direction and foster its continued success.

Amal Tarazi, a seasoned professional in financial management, serves as the leader of the financial team at GGateway. Before joining GGateway in December 2020, Amal made significant contributions as the Chief Accountant for the Near East Council of Churches, an international NGO, for a decade. This followed a six-year tenure as the Senior Accountant at the Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children.

Amal holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting, from Al Azhar University in Gaza.
